Papenmeier Lumistar Luminaire USL 07 LED

The Papenmeier Lumistar Luminaire USL 07-LED is a compact and powerful sight glass luminaire suitable for universal industrial applications.

It is designed for mounting on combined sight and light ports (single-flange version) or separate ports (two-flange version), providing glare-free illumination.

This luminaire fits circular sight glass fittings similar to DIN 28120 and DIN 28121, screw-type sight glass fittings similar to DIN 11851, and visual flow indicator fittings.

Features

• Generous light output with an optimally designed screwed lens aperture.
• Suitable for illuminating the interiors of vessels, tanks, agitators, silos, reactors, and visual flow indicators.
• Approved for use in food processing industries.
• Protection class IP65 and IP67, dust-tight and water jet-proof according to DIN EN 60529/DIN VDE 0470 part 1.
• Independent of vessel internal vacuum or pressure; must not be used as a substitute for the cover flange or sight glass flange assembly.
• Approved for ambient temperatures up to 60°C.

Installation

The luminaire is mounted using a lamp attachment on the cover flange for circular sight glass fittings and visual flow indicators. For screw-type sight glass fittings, it is fastened to the slotted nut.

Mounting Compatibility

• Circular sight glass fittings similar to DIN 28120 from DN 50.
• Circular sight glass fittings similar to DIN 28121 from DN 80.
• Visual flow indicators from DN 50.
• Screw-type sight glass fittings similar to DIN 11851: DN 100 and DN 125 use a separate flange adapter; DN 150 and larger are mounted via lamp attachment.

Materials

• Luminaire body: Corrosion-resistant cast aluminium alloy GK-ALSi10Mg.
• Protective conductor terminal: Inner compartment terminated with additional external terminal on enclosure.
• Light aperture: Aluminium ring with glass lens sealed with Viton.
• Mounting parts: G-Al Si 10 Mg alloy.

Electrical Connection

• Cable entry gland M20 x 1.5 with optional cable length.

Accessories (purchase separately) include hinged brackets for mounting (straight versions for DN 50–100 and DN 125–200) and a special spanner for opening the screwed glass lens.
